Hello, i have an ongoing issue with an axolotl that keeps floating.
What happens is it seems that his left side makes him float. He can never stand straight, and if left in water that's deep enough, he'll float to the surface on the side. He also sometimes "barrel roll" when he's excited or panicked. Other than that he's actually fine, his gills seem healthy, he eats, he poops... everything fine except that.
I initially thought it could be impaction or something, so i fridged him. The problem is, he's been fridged for more than 2 monthes now and... he's still doing it. He pooped and all, and i noticed that the floating and barrel rolling gets worse after he eats too. Should i keep fridging him hoping it gets better? i feel like more than 2 monthes is already a long time, and since nothing changed i don't know what to do anymore. I hope someone here will be able to help me
PS: I'm french, so sorry if some of my typo/grammar sounds bad. Hopefully it doesn't!
