And little Aloe costs me a fortune at a petstore, but I felt compelled to save him ><
(they kept 3 axies in a tank with a heater and oil slick at the surface of the water... one of Aloe's tank mate was missing 3 limbs)

Aloe at the petstore D:

Thanks for looking:D!

 Your family looks beautiful and very happy, you also have awesome homes for your lil guys, I must say the 2 photos of Aloe are like night and day, you can tell how much better he looks in the photo now then the one in the petshop,
I think you are doing a great job,
I do have one question if you don't mind, what type of sand is that you are using?
Well welcome to the site, I am sorta new too, I am raising my first Axie he is only about 3 months old I think, I have had him a month now, and I would' not take anything for him.
Have a great day,
Mama Mia:D

Thanks Mamma Mia!

The sand I used was called moonlight sand I believe. I really wanted substrate to put my plants in haha xD

looking good! What all kinds of plants do you have? Do you use a light for them? Your tanks look great, I want mine to look that nice :)

Thanks Sapphire!
I use a ton of java ferns and marimo(sp?) moss balls for my barebottom 10gal. My bigger tank I have fine sand substrate so I put a bit more plants, I'm iffy on the names, some were from the breeder I got my golden and melanoid from (there were some awesome floating plants that grow long roots, looks super cool!), theres also lots of java ferns, moss balls, fanworts (which my babies dig up nightly bfore I smack a large rock on it lol)

I also have a lot of white cloud minnows in the large tank, and they seem to enjoy fishing for them when the lights go out xD

Love the names Dratini and Pichu! xD Better than Mudkip, Marshtomp, and Swampert for the Axo Cuties.

( My Swampert kicks **** on the Subway though. >: )

They are real cuties. :) Did you see the "realistic" pokemon artwork of the Dratini-line like salamanders? Where their "wings" were gills?

New addition to the family!!

Meet Mewmew! (Was going to name him/her Mew but it rolled off the tongue easier when you say it twice xD)

hyduquge.jpg

Him/her is much smaller than planned, so for now Mewmew gets his/her own tank, with some fresh born white cloud minnows xD let's hope Mewmew doesn't eat them all bfore they even get to grow bigger... LOL

Axie count up to 6... Gotta stop now bfore it gets out of hand LOL

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
