Im located excited to have plenty of eggs at the moment, only 36 hours old at the moment so hoping plenty are fertile and do well :)
Im located in the west midlands uk so will put details up when i have some for sale.

Oh im sorry ive just re read my post, im not selling the eggs but will be selling the babies. I dont know much about posting them, id have to see about live couriers.

Just for reference....you can post eggs in uk without a specialist courier...I have done so, and received some others myself. Perhaps you might be considering this in the future.

Yes I know you can post eggs, thank you though. Im not selling the eggs but ill be selling the baby axies once they hatch, im pretty sure you cant post the babies, guess if you can courier live juveniles itll be quite expensive.

I've shipped juvenile Axolotl before. I've always read that when posting you should wait till they are juvenile so that they are more hardy/developed and can withstand the stress of travel. I always used this method:

-Purchase a water tight transparent bag designed for transport of fish, you can buy these on E.bay.

-Fill the bag with dechlorinated water and add your Axolotl but when you tie a knot in the top of the bag make sure to leave around a quarter of the area of the bag the Axolotl is in with air, this allows access to oxygen.

- Purchase a polystyrene box that has two half's that slot together, designed for transport of fish, you can also buy these on E.bay. Add the Axolotl in its bag to the polystyrene box making sure its a snug fit but not too tight that it could burst the bag. Tape the polystyrene box up securely

- Place your packed Axolotl in a cardboard box (which is just bigger than the polystyrene box) padded out with bubble wrap all around the polystyrene box to make sure it cant rattle around, this protects the polystyrene box (and axolotl) during shipping.. YOU CAN NEVER TRUST ANY COURIER TO HANDLE YOUR PACKAGE WITH CARE - for this reason I tape the cardboard box with tape showing the word 'FRAGILE',I then mark each side of the box with an arrow and the words 'THIS WAY UP'.

- You can use Royal Mail Special delivery for the best outcome to deliver your Axolotl for next day delivery. The Royal Mail website states that 'Fish fry, and eggs' can be posted, the website also states 'Use 1st Class as the minimum service. Items must be clearly marked ‘URGENT – LIVING CREATURES - HANDLE WITH CARE’. The sender’s name and address must be clearly visible on the outer packaging.'

I posted from South East up to Manchester and the Axolotl arrived signed for the next day by midday.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for that, I was always under the impression it was illegal to post them once they hatch, I can now keep it mind if anyone wants me to ship them :)

The eggs have now all began to hatch, won't be selling until at least 4 weeks old but you are more than welcome to express an interest now as they normally go fairly quick. Ill create a new post once they are ready to go with pictures and colours available. Mum Golden albino and Dad Melanoid. At the moment collection or local delivery only, Might ship via royal mail but haven't got postal prices yet. Collection is from Wombourne UK WV5 0EB

It is ILLEGAL to post live axies in the UK. Check the Royal Mail website:

"Live animals and reptiles are prohibited, as are any creatures or insects classified as dangerous within the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976.

Allowed:
bees, caterpillars, cockroaches, crickets, destroyers of noxious pests, earthworms, fish fry and eggs, leeches and other parasites, lugworms, maggots, mealworms, pupae and chrysalides, rag worms, silkworms, spiders and stick insects.

Must be boxed and packaged to protect the creatures, our staff and our customers from harm. Use 1st Class as the minimum service. Items must be clearly marked ‘URGENT – LIVING CREATURES - HANDLE WITH CARE’. The sender’s name and address must be clearly visible on the outer packaging. Dead insects, sent as collectables, are also allowed."

Ok thank you, i keep getting different information regarding shipping, think ill just leave it as collection only to be on the safe side

I know they aren't fish but i classed them as fish fry when I posted for a friend. I know lots of people who have recieved Axoltol by the post. I don't see an issue with it aslong as you take the time and attention to package correctly and then post them on the fastest special delivery. But if it's illegal it's illegal can't argue with that!
