Both are sinking pellets.
 
I think that the newt pellets look pretty good....are they semi soft? Not sure about the shrimp pellets. Variety is key. Earthworms seem to be the best.
 
some of the hard pellets can cause problems. If a salamander eats to many hard pellets before they swell up they can cause blockages.
