today i went into our local fish shop to top up my newts food. they are chinese fire bellies. i got them one bag of live daphina and one bag of live brine shrimp. i also got some frozen daphnia as they were out of bloodworms. im keeping the daphnia and brine shrimp in a plastic box, so i can get out what i need instead of chucking the whole lot in the tank. are all of these foods ok for my newts? (im trying to feed them more live food as its more healthier for them) also is frozen daphnia ok for them? oh and is frozen daphnia ok for goldfish? because sometimes i suppliment my goldies with bloodworms and other newt food..

All good, but I don't think your daphnia will live long in a plastic box. They'll need algae for food. You can stretch their lives by keeping them in the refrigerator as well.

Goldfish will probably eat frozen daphnia as well. But I'm not to sure about the dried tubifex. (which reminds me that I never got my cfb's to eat dried tubifex either)

Another food they (the newts) love is chopped nightcrawlers

All these foods are good for newts. I'd be careful with the frozen daphnia, as the newts will probably not find them (as they are small and non-moving). Also, during freezing, the daphnia may rupture, so if you drop in the whole cube, you are just dumping dissolved protein into your tank, which will foul the water quickly.
