I just setup a new semi-aquatic aquarium, containing:
1) Malaysian Driftwood
2) Cork Bark
3) Banana Plants
4) Water Sprite
I boiled the Driftwood, and the Cork Bark for 20 minutes each in seperate pots. I then added all the decor and plants into my cycled aquarium. A day later the water started turning a dull yellow color from the tannins leaching out.
My two question are:
1) Are the tannins harmful to Caudates?
2) What is the easiest way to remove the tannins?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Nute.
