Question: Are my Axies male or Female?

Hi i've had one axolotl for a While and the other 2 are Fairly new.
I have a Golden Albino (Pancake), White Albino (Berries) and a Normal Black Axolotl (Syrup)

I have taken Pictures of them from under neath to see whether people on the Forum to give me your knowledge and help me understand whether these guys are male or Female

Now i think Pancake and Syrup are a Male and Berries is the Female But i have only Basic Knowledge of this so maybe you can help me with that

The Pictures are From White>Black>Gold
Berries>Syrup>Pancake
First>Second>Third

Pictures from the side without flash would be better for me to tell. If you have a male you will definatly know it.

I think they may be too young to tell or they are just skinny.

Can I also ask if anyone can tell sex on this guy yet or is he too young to tell?

An axie needs to be about 6-8 months before you can tell. Nikki, depending on how old yours is, it's probably a female. Axolotls are just like anything else, though. Sometimes there's a late bloomer.


Rhino, your pictures are too blurry and have too much of a glare. Clearer pictures, preferably from the side as well as from under, would be helpful.

Well i have pictures of them on their sides and also How big they are.. Pancake i have had for about 3 months, Syrup is about 1 month old and berries is about 2 Days, but this is how long i have had them for i have no idea how old they are myself...

The Pictures are From Berries, Pancake and Syrup in that Order.
I will also post the Top shot i have of them so it helps Depict the Age of them
these Pictures shouldn't be blurry either..

you'd have laughed at me
Born early Aug12/so only 5 months old.
(But I'm an impatient axie mum & he/she has grown so fast I was sure it'd be an 'early bloomer' lol)
