Are fish medicines gonna effect my fire bellied newt?

Hi, I've 3 newts in my tank, along with some other fish. What I need to know, is,do the active ingrediants Phenoxyethanol or Malachite green,acriflavin or quinine sulphate, harm newts in any way? these ingrediants are taken from King British-fin rot and fungus, and, King British-white spot control. I need to use these in my tank and was hoping they were safe to use. I have been told that if it says not to use on clown loaches, then it wont be safe to use on newts.on the packets it just says- not for use in marine aquariums,for ornamental fish only. help much appreciated! thanks from jane

anyway, what kind of fishes are you keeping with your newts?
i think you should separate them. if not for the long term, at least for as long as you're treating your fishes. this is a foundamental and trivial precaution...

first do not keep newts with fish next the product i no is safe is melafix this is ok for your newts but malachite green upset my newts so it is best not to use it j slate
