Are bigger newts older?

Is a 4 inch newt probably much older than a 2 inch newt?

Whilst it's true that newts grow as they age they also grow at different speeds depending on the individual and food availability. I've seen newts that are twice as large as some of thier siblings from the same breeding.

In all probability a 4 inch newt is older than a 2 inch newt but you shouldn't assume it's the case.
