Are barebottom tanks okay?

Is it okay to have just a glass bottom in a tank intead of pebbles or sand????

Barebottom tank or sand are the most preferred substrate types.

Barebottom tanks are by far the easiest to keep clean too.

Bare bottom tanks are fine. That's what I use now. If you want, you could add a blue or black towel under your tank on the stand. This adds a cool effect.

Hello,

when you use sand for the bottom, you have a bigger surface for the helpfull nitrification bakteria.
It helps a lot to metabolize the waste.
