Hi!

I bought a "tube" of aquarium sealant as I want to make hideyholes and stuff for the axies, but it says that I have to cut off the top and then there isn't anything to reseal it... Does anyone know what I have to do?!?!

*Confused* =)

Yeah i have used the same stuff, I have just left mine open and then cleaned out the sealant thats "gone off" from the when I want to re-use it. Alternatively i think you can buy nozzle caps to keep it from going off, which you can probably get from your local DIY shop! Hope this helps. Good Luck and have fun!

Yeah, we had the same problem, we did have the nozzle cap, but they still kept hardening up, the nozzle tube, we just poke around it out with a toothpick or similar when we need to use it again.

I also didn't realise at the time I bought ours, as it was one of those huge tubes, that you needed a gun thingy to use it.

Husband sat watching for ages, trying not to laugh, while I tried to figure out how to push the end down to get silicon out, then after I threw it down in disgust, he pulled the gun thingy out for it! Typical!

lol, I resealed my tank yesterday, well my dad did. And we had to use a gun, which i had lots of fun creating things with! :D

Aquarium silicon

Wipe off surplus silicon from nozzle. Cover with a piece of tough plastic bag, wrap round with elastic band...Should be no probs next time you use it.

Then hide or destroy your wrecked clothes!

You can get one at little cost at any Do it Yourself store or building supplies retailer.
