Aquarium Chiller Setup

I am looking into getting a chiller for my axolotl and am wondering how they hook up to the tank. Do I need a canister filter to run a chiller? I have a sponge filter hooked up to an airline and a mesh metal top. I am looking into getting the Coralife Aquarium Chiller 1/4 HP. Would that create too strong of a current in my tank (20 gall)?

I use a canister filter for my tanks. The water goes from the tank to the filter, from the filter to the chiller, from the chiller to the tank.

You can also get a little pump that works as well. I found having to find an extra power socket the hard bit( I did have 3 tanks(2 with chillers going) attached tho).

That's overkill for a 20 gallon tank. I like my aquaeuro 1/13 hp chiller

Would it be bad to have a chiller that large? I have the opportunity to get it at a really good price but won't get it if it will hurt Mudkip. Would the current from outflow be to strong?

Ok so I am now looking at this chiller

It's the Aqua Euro CL150. Does anyone have experience with it? It says in the info it is rated up to 160 GHP. How strong of a powerhead will I need for this chiller?
