Anyone else have a problem with their axie juvie being too scared to eat after moving to a tank?

Hey everyone!

So, I decided to try and feed Audrey when I went home for lunch, estimating it was a few hours shy of her being in her new tank for 24 hours, and it didn't go well.

In a word or 3, she went crazy! I might as well have been trying to catch her to eat her.

I know she's probably just freaked out from the move, but wondering if anyone else has dealt with it, and how long it took for yours to settle down.

Thanks and have a great weekend! :D

Haha sounds like my new juvie :) Mudkip took a week to calm down, he wouldn't eat and what little he did eat he spat out. Only now (3weeks) is he regularly eating. I wouldn't be too worried :) just keep trying :)

Fury took a bit over a week to eat and Glorlim took at least a fortnight but Thor and Smiley were little greedy guts from the beginning (interestingly it was my females that ate and my males that didn't?)

I wouldn't worry unless it takes more than 2 weeks or they start looking scary skinny

Thanks everyone!

It is so messy feeding her thawed blood worms in the tank that I actually put a small dish in the tank to put them on, in hopes of keeping the mess down to a minimum, but she frantically swam through it and spread it everywhere anyway.

But 10 minutes later, she was searching the bottom of the tank, and actually ate a good portion of the worms. So as long as she's eating, she can be as skittish as she wants. :p
