Hi, I'm seeing that almost everyone on here who is selling or buying uses PayPal.

I have a bank account but no credit card, I was wondering if there is anyway to get a PayPal without having to link another account to it. Is there somewhere where I can just buy a reloadable PayPal card and load it with money at a store, almost like a gift card, but, for PayPal.

I'm sorry if this seems like a really dense question or has already been asked or answered, I'm just so tired of trying to negotiate Postal Money Orders to people who will SOMETIMES at BEST unwillingly accept them.

Thanks In Advance. I've tried looking this topic up online, and there seems to just be no help. Just links to the PayPal site which did not really help.

Thanks,
- Sam

You can use paypal with just your back account information.

Sam, have you looked into GreenDot cards? They're basically a credit/debit card that you pre-load with cash. No banks involved.

But will PayPal users accept them too?

I've got my paypal linked up to my bank account and a credit card...

My issue is, is that I don't want to link my bank account to PayPal, and I have no credit card, so I can't hook it up to that.

Sam,

Yes. It's basically just a way of putting cash on the internet. You would use it in the same way you would use a credit card. You can get Visa or MasterCard version, and reload it at a variety of places. You can even get the $$ out at an ATM.

Awesome! Thanks Kaysie!!! :)

That's what I'm here for, providing salamander husbandry and financial planning advice. ;)

I think it's safe to say that This is a shot in the dark, however, Kaysie... Do you have any leucistic axolotl eggs that you're possibly willing to ship (along with a small daphnia culture)? I can't seem to get any anywhere, not even here on Caudata! Ha ha ha.

I'm no longer breeding axolotls.

Darn! Oh well, Didn't hurt to ask. Thank you! :)

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
