Temporary ponds where breeds Triturus pygmaeus and Pleurodeles waltl near from Madrid ( 700 m. ) between mediterranean scrubs and Pinus pinea.

Drinking pool in the mountains where breeds Salamandra s. bejarae and Triturus boscai in Ávila ( 1.300 m. ) surrounded by Quercus pyrenaica and Castanea sativa.

Stream and cascades plenty of humidity in Asturias province ( 700 m. ) where lives Chioglossa lusitanica.

Muniellos National Reserve in Asturias province ( 1.200 m. ) on the streams and ponds ( surrounded by one of the most oldest and extensives beech/oak forests of Europe ) lives and breeds Salamandra salamandra bernardezi, Chioglossa lusitanica, Triturus marmoratus, Triturus alpestris cyreni, Triturus helveticus sequeirai and Triturus boscai.
 
My translation to english of spanish words sometimes can be... strange??

Hi William, sorry...

when I made these photos was not breeding time.

- For the first pic was too soon ( october ) to find pygmaeus & Pleurodeles, also for Chioglossa in the 3º photo ( march )

- For the 2 and 4 pics I will post something. I must pass by scanner the photos in paper.
 
When you go to Muniellos National Reserve you realize you are on an other planet.
It's a great experience you return to middle ages
in the primitive forest.
