Here's my tank setup...I was looking for something with a japanese-stone-garden feeling to it...think I got it down rather well. What do you think?

By the way, that's Gollum on that platform, Smeagul seems to be shy, as usual. The white stuff is fishbits. They love 'em.

Nope, so far I don't know their gender...when does it begin to show??

You can't tell if theyre male or female until they are about a year old. The males cloaca develops a large "lump" thing. It is very easy to determine the sex of matured axolotls.

Yep, seen it, read it, thank you though, I'm always thankful for pointers! I Hope my two babes WILL in fact turn out as babes, because I got them together, so it's probable that they are siblings...so I wouldn't want to crossbreed the two. If they turn out to be brother and sister, I might trade one with a buddy of mine who also got some axolotls lately (and doesn't know the gender yet).

The one's hiding is also wildtype, my fav' coloring. I like sticking to the original, if you know what I mean ;-)
