Hi All,
Have a look at these photos of a baby newt that turned up in our lounge tonight! We think it may have come in with some coal we brought in (fortunately we didn't light the fire).
It's a Triturus (or Lissotriton if you insist) helveticus - I know this as we don't have vulgaris in these parts. For an idea of scale, you can see part of my little finger in some of the photos. And I have small hands!
He's now safely out in the garden.
