I have mine in a tank in my living room, and as soon as the hottest part of summer is over (round about september) they start changing, and start amplexing from oct/nov until january. Last year I didn't see any eggs, but found a morph in the tank. This year I'm looking and looking in the tank for eggs, I made those plastic egg-laying strips, and I keep seeing teeny baby snails on them which I mistake for eggs, get all excited, look closer, and get disappointed.
