Ammonia alert tester

anybody ever use ammonia alert test by seachem labs. its round with 4 different colors on it with a center piece that changes colorls with ammonia changes. you keep it in tank all the time. have tried 1/3 waer change twice in 5 days and water still cloudy form side view but looks clear from front view on a seaclear 75 gallon bowfront

are you sure that the water is cloudy and not just the glass? i recently had a problem with bacteria overgrowth on the glass and thats exactly what happened to mine

i wipe inside of the aquarium down and also have 5 trapdoor snails in same aquarium

Are you saying that the ammonia is testing zero with that device? It's possible for the water to be cloudy, but not to have ammonia. Is it cloudy-green or cloudy-white?

That ammonia alert thing is only good for a few months. How long have you had it?
