For a long time now the most spotted sals I've kept to gether at once is one and now I not sure how many will be kept well in a 20g tank. I want to keep 3 so If that not big enough I could use a 30g.

A 20 gallon long aquarium would make a nice vivarium for two spotteds. If the animals are small, 3 could be placed into this viv. If all animals were around the max length of 10", this would be crowded.

Ok. and what about a 30g.

A 30 gallon breeder (more width, less height than a 30 gal) would make a suitable home for 3 max-lengthed adults.
