This morning I hit the woods in Northern Illinois with Cichlidjedi in search of Blue Spotted Salamanders. We managed to find three of these cute little guys, along with some toads and wood frogs.

My second-favorite species. Nice find. I love these guys. As captives, they're such bold eaters!

Well, even in the dead of summer here, they sure are plentiful. When you find them, you sure find them. Over the past two days we have found 14 in less than three hours. Tonight I found a few fresh morphs under the same log as the adults, was kind of weird. They were tiny, an inch and half at most!

Nice finds Greewok. I am not to far from you and dont seem to share your luck. Just A. laterale you found?

Mitch

Yes, no other Sals found unfortunately! I will take some Habitat shots this week for you Mitch.
