Our Long-toed Salamanders have a pondmate! I believe he's a Northwestern Salamander... Yes? He's much larger and stockier than the Long-toes are. He's also much more active.

We're just going to leave them alone in the pond. I'll gladly observe them while they're there. I only see one of this one, but definitely a pair of the long-toed salamanders. Maybe he's HOPING to mate... :)
