After months of planning...

... I finally got some newts. I've been reading the threads posted here and waiting for the perfect opportunity to get them and everything came together yesterday. I picked these little guys up in a pet store in Sacramento for $4.99 each. I think they are Eastern Newts?? Two seem to have a fondness for the moss and the other likes to stay in the water as much as possible. They all ate the live brown worms i had yesterday, but they don't want to eat today. Hopefully this will not be a long term trend. Anyways, i am extremely happy about this and am glad to have joined the ranks of this hobby. Thanks for looking!!

That's great that you have decided to do your research before going out and getting some newts. It is something we encourage on this forum. You have eastern newts. There is a care sheet for this species on the caudata culture section of this webpage here:

I wouldn't worry if they don't accept food again immediately. They look very healthy and if they've already accepted food, they will probably feed again soon. Good luck and congrats!
