Advice on cleaning tank

There's a fair bit of algae growth on the glass & objects in my tank right now and I'd like to clean it all off - maybe soak some of the rocks/hides and possibly even sift the sand a little to get rid of any gunge. However, my tank is well cycled and seems quite happy at the moment. How best should I go about cleaning without disturbing the cycle?
