Question: Advice if this terrarium is suitable

We recently took in an eastern newt that’s is in the eft stage(named him Newton) also have never owned a reptile/amphibian so just looking for advice if the terrarium we’ve set up is suitable for our new lil member of the family

I've never had eastern newts but some of my friends have some.
Eastern newts efst are terrestrial and need a moderately wet terrarium with many hides.

I would reduce or suppress the water zone and add dead leaves ans cork pieces.
(you should keep in mind that you'll rarely see your eft except late in the evening)

Definitely less water. Use moss, cork bark and leave litter. Google on "bio active terrarium" for more tips.
