Hi,

I'm moving to a new house on Friday, and was wondering what's the best way to move my newt. The car journey will be an hour long. I believe it's best not to move him in water, as they can't cope with strong currents.
So, I was going to put him in a tupperware tub with damp paper towels and plants. I wanted to ask, does it matter whether I use tissue paper, kitchen paper etc? Should I be careful of what I use because of chemicals, or in case some breaks of and he ingests it?

Thanks guys =)

Non-bleached paper toweling is recommended. If that is not available, white paper towels without print and dyes can be used. Use moistened crumpled paper toweling as hides. The plant isn't needed...air holes in tupperware would be.

There was a recent discussion on moving tanks, you might find this helpful as well:

Good luck with your move.

Cool, I have got a tupperware lid with holes in from when I collected him from a friend, so was going to put the plant in just for him to hide, but I'll crumple the paper instead. Thank you!
