Adding an ammonia source to new tank...

So when i was reading the article on cycling tanks, it recommended adding an ammonia source, after a few days, yadda yadda. So i don't have brine shrimp, but i have some frozen Blood Worms. Would these guys act as a good substitute to get it going? I'm using the same filter from my old tank, to hopefully give the process a good kick.

Moosh 'em up, throw 'em in. Any 'meat' that is easily decayed works. If you're using your old filter, and the part where the bacteria live (either the biowheel or the media) hasn't dried out, then you don't need to re-cycle.
