this is a picture of a year and a half old axolotl who belonged to my cousin for a bit of time last year. he was quite active and seemed happy, but very small for his age. he easily fit into the palm of my hand, and upon a breif physical examination, all organs and bones seemed to be in the right space. he seems like a dwarf, just proportional - is this possible? otherwise i don’t know what to call him? perhaps a miniature axolotl? he was never and will never be bred, as we don’t know what his genes might carry.
pictures below (sorry for the quality, usually my pictures are better)

Okay so chances are that this could be a dwarf that's proportional, but it's more likely that at some point in his growing stages he wasn't fed enough or had poor water conditions causing him to either grow slowly or quit growing completely. Either way, he seems healthy now, so I guess just try and go easy on the short jokes XD

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
