A question about the oxygen in water!

Hi there!

I have a little silly question about the oxygen. I got a external box filter now for my axie, and it connected with a spray bar, i'm wondering which method could produce more oxygen? Should I put the spray bar higher to let the water fall down to hit the water surface to produce air bubble (is it oxygen?) or I should put the bar under the water?
Thanks!

If it's above the water then it will bring oxygen down with it, whereas if it is under the water then it is just circulating the water.

I have a waterfall type filter which produces lots of little bubbles that are pushed down by the water almost all the way to bottom.

My axie's love their waterfall! They spend hours swimming up and down it or just chilling underneath it.

When I up-size my tank I will have to change to a canister filter but will still have the waterfall filter on the side, just so my babies don't miss it!

I would recommend having your spray bar above the water-line, if your axie's seem stressed by the movement, might be an idea to put it under-neath.

Thanks for the help! I set the spray bar a little higher on top of water surface, the water flow's not strong thought, and it didn't affect the movement of Olive.
I put live plants to make the tank beautiful and nature, I guess it will increase the oxygen in the water too.
