I know well that newts and salamanders are the priority of this forum ( mine too ) but I can't resist to share this. This summer ( july ) I spent a pair of days going to some places with ( usually ) many caudates in autumn/winter and spring, with the intention of make some photographs.

It was frustrating, they already had initiated aestivation, but I had as compensates some strange views and interesting animals...

what species should you have found caudate wise?

Pleurodeles waltl, Triturus pygmaeus, Salamandra s. bejarae and Lissotriton boscai

That anuran is toast! Awesome to see something like that live. The poor thing looks very calm...That probably just tells us that I know nothing about the stress symptoms of frogs

Hi Jesper!

the stress suffered by the frogs was, mostly, due to the warm ( 41 ºc )
