Very nice pics Paris! It's amazing that Dave actually had problems selling all of those (T.montandoni), they look beautiful.

That T. sierrae has an acting career playing an alien.

Nice flavs, what county? I have some from Sonoma county that I raised from hatchlings. They never did get that patchy look, they just looked like glutinosis until they started to mature.

RUSS

nope russ-dont know where they came from, i got them 2nd hand -i might suspect sonoma though, ill have to ask the guy they came from. i have 2 so its hopeful i wouldnt need anymore but a basic look at their vents leads me to suspect they are the same gender...

pinpin---more taricha shots to come! but here's a teaser..these are my taricha torosa torosas in a temp tank while i adjust a new one for them -they are getting into breeding condition. the male is starting to pale out and the female is huge!! (the other female is about 1/2 this gravid) the other male is not in season yet as he is busy recovering from being very ill-hes got great weight on now though. this isnt a great photo but it shows the dimorphism -the one in front is the male

as for that sickly guy-well hes become quite a shameless beggar!

I'm teased and tickled.

Thanks for posting. That female looks ready to drop a cluster.

I was feeling a bit depressed at the lack of Taricha photos recently. I hope you have success again with their breeding this year!

I love that photo of the larvae fighting over a worm. Good luck on taricha breeding!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
