Hey everyone! its been a very long time since ive been on the site... wow.. Its good to be back! i just have a few questions about salamander compatability. I was wondering if it would be okay to house some smaller north american terrestrial species with a small juvinile S.s. salamandra?

I wouldn't advise it. The problems of disease, toxins and aggression are all very possible when species from different parts of the world are mixed. The transfer is particularly likely to go from the mole sals, which I assume would be WC, to the fire salamander, which I assume is CB.
If it's Ambystoma that you're talking about, then these animals can be quite voracious feeders. If they were to bite your Salamandra, particularly with it being a juvenile, you could end up with an injured fire salamander and a poisoned mole salamander.

If you haven't seen it, this page gives a taste of what can go wrong! Caudata Culture Articles - Species Mixing Disasters

I would definitely keep them separately.

Ahh, ok. Thank you. I was trying to find some cb fire salamanders to put in the tank with him. But I can't find any! It's always been pretty hand to find them. Any suggestions?
