Hello, I've solved my previous problems with feeding and unhatched eggs. They all hatched and appear to be eating after putting them near a desk lamp. My first question is do my 8 day old larvae need a dark hiding place? If not then when will they? The second question is how big should they be now? They've not shown any massive growth since hatching, in fact the first to hatch 8 days ago looks the same size as the last to hatch yesterday. The last question is how do I know if they have been feeding? I read somewhere about having a red stomach I think. Mine all do have red patches just below their heads. Is all good? Thanks.

I don't usually provide any hides until I switch them to bigger food. It's just too much of a pain to clean around, especially when you're doing 100% water changes.

They won't show any appreciable growth for a couple of weeks. Then it will seem like all of the sudden they're growing a cm a week.

If you're feeding brine shrimp, their bellies will be orange. The red spot below their head is the heart. Watch really closely and you can see it beating.
