Hello Everyone !
I've made a video on how to harvest Baby Brine Shrimp but in a small amount of a 8-12oz. Glass soda bottle.
I've seen a lot of video's on how to set up a BBS hatchery but I been seeing peope useing 2liter soda bottles.
I do not have A lot of Larvae's so I do not think that large of a bottle and amount of brine shrimp is necessary.
If you have small amount of larvae's like me, like lets say under 50 larvae's, this is a good amount to use daily if you have two 8-12oz. soda glass bottles set-up.
It gives me plenty of space to set up 2 Soda Glass bottles of 8-12oz. One to use in the morning & night, and one to have newly freshed Baby brine shrimp in the morning then I empty out the one i used the other night and do the this routine all over again.
Here is the description from my YTvideo:
What you'll need:
1.)8-12oz. Glass soda bottle well rinsed.
2.)an Air pump
3.)air line tubing
4.)sea salt (I used rock)
5.)baby brine shrimp eggs
6.)measuring table spoon.
Measuring right amount of salt, you'll need a full amount of 1/2TSP(I know I said table spoon on the video, sorry), 1/3 TSP of baby brine shrimp eggs, then mix it with warm tap water in your 8oz. Glass bottle. If your useing 12.oz add a little more sea salt. No need for water conditioner. The warm water will help the BBS hatch at a faster rate. It'll take 18-24hours to hatch around 70-82F.
