Wow, that's a super pretty tank! I love how well-planted it is, and your axolotls clearly look happy to have the space!
If you don't mind me asking, what plants did you use in your aquarium? I'm new to live planting, and you're clearly pretty experienced.
 
I’ve had luck with almost all of these. The temps listed are the recommended, but my axolotl tank is 63 F year round.


Dwarf Hairgrass – Mat (70 to 83 F)
Moneywort - Bunch Plant (72 to 82, moderate to high light)
Balansae Plant - Bare Root (72 to 82, moderate light)
Rotala Indica - Bunch Plant (72 to 82, moderate light)
Micro Sword- Potted (70 to 83, high)
Hygrophila, Temple Narrow Leaf - Bunch Plant (72 to 82, moderate light)
Ludwigia Needle Leaf - Bunch Plant (72 to 82, moderate to high light)
Spiralis - Bare Root (72 to 82, moderate light)
Cardinal Plant – Potted (72 to 82, moderate light)
Oriental Sword - Bare Root (68 to 84, moderate to high)


Telanthera Plant (medium to bright light, 65 to 75 F)
Variegated Japanese Dwarf Rush - Bare Root (50 to 82 F)
Dwarf Baby Tears (62 to 82, high lighting)

    Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

    He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
