here is my Group.. I bought more than im planning on keeping because i want to breed a few batches. im hoping i will get a pair that take together or just leave the goodys behind.
a few questions, im thinking of putting an under gravel filter with a powerhead flowing into the uptake tube , to blow water down under the sand? any thought about that ?
i have 7 in a 75 eating great, getting big and doing fine .. i have an emporer 400 filter at one end and no signs of stress " except round tail ?" on melonoid one. im planning to split them up sometime and planing tanks using small gravel sand.. just a plan

IM SO JEALOUS OF THAT TANK!!!!!. your so lucky to own a tank that big, and im sure your axies will breed.

I've got a 90 gallon. It's too deep to put axolotls into; It's very hard to reach the bottom. I use it as a snake breeder.

Personally, I think there aren't enough hiding spots for your animals, and you could make better use of the water column.

Nice Drew!! Very cute axies!! They all very happy and healthy. I'd have to say that im with Joan though. Dont get me wrong, your tank and axies look great... maybe better though with just a few more hiding spots

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
