Today I will get my 445 liter tank.
It's about 165cm long x 60cm tall x 45cm hig.
So...it's huge to me!
Maybe tomorrow it's redy for my for babies to move in. :)
I will add some picks of getting the tank set up as it should be.

That is a huge tank!!! I don't know how may axies you will keep in there but I think they will be thrilled.

Don't forget to cycle your tank if you are adding new un-aged water.

old water won't help at all, the onld sand will do the trick. ;)
I have had aquariums for 10 years now, so I think that I know what I'm doing..
But for now, there will be fishes in the tank, in 1-1,5 year the axies will be in that size when they can move in that big tank. Now they are just about 7cm long. :D
So, they will grow up in 190 liter tank for now.
The fishes gome whit the tank, ex owner said that she will kill them if I don't want them..
So..for now...fishes..

But I will set up the tank today, as it should be whit axies.
There will be some black sand, mutch of plants and other axie things some day...<3

Now I have my babies in that huge tank. They're just so smaal in it, I'm afraid that some of them just desaperes in the tank.:p

My guess is the babies will do great in that big tank. Cycling is important but with lots of water the waste will dissipate and their shouldn't be much of a cycling problem till the filter and tank balance biologically. One of my pet peeves about this forum is people worrying about cycling a big tank for a little salamander. If things are not cramped I set up a good filter, add cool dechlorinated water, and plunk the salamander in. Of course I watch the water quality and salamanders health.

Michael, I'm the same way. Dare I say, I've never pre-cycled a tank. However, usually it's recommended as people just are not diligent about water quality.

As I have said some times before..I have had aquariums fot 10-years now.
So I do know the basig thing.

The fillration is just fine now, there isn't mucth of flouting and water is glean ang smells fresh.
I have one inside filter to pick up the waist what plants make. And large out fillter to make sure that the water will be good for a long time.
