Photo: 41 day update on "Fish"

Ok then for anyone who's keeping up with him :happy:
Fish is now 41 days post hatching and a little over 35mm (does anyone know when he stops being a hatchling and becomes a juvie? out of curiosity) and those bumps he had were DEFINITELY his back legs which have grown a LOT in the last 9 days

OK so here he is
Back @ 32 days with his "bumps" for reference

Legs @ 37days He does have teenie tiny toes on them but the camera can't get a clear pic yet

and today 41 days

Look closely and you can see his toes on the bottom of his tail fin.

And his ever developing pattern and his gills have grown considerably and colored up a bit, maybe it's just the blood vessel is more obvious today
He's getting quite pretty even if I do say so myself

I tend to call them larvae until they have full back legs and juvies from then onwards.

I cant wait to see more photos as he grows!

Great pics, as usual. Are you posting these in an album somewhere on this site? These need to become part of the permanent record - maybe in the same manner as the axolotl egg development series.

I am able to see things happening in these pics that I couldn't see even with my magnifying glass when my axies were going through that stage. It's very interesting how these things happen.

It's so cool to see things in the pics that I just couldn't otherwise or seeing the detail of things you can only just see.
I have the one's I've posted plus a few more in a personal album but not sure how to go about doing anything more than that with them. The album is set to public and is Here
With a few exceptions they are all in date order with the newer ones @ the start so if you want to see him grow you'll have to start with the last pic. :rofl:
