So I've been preparing for axolotl eggs and waiting for someone to get some, and it turns out my 50 gallon tank I was planning on using is a reptile tank only, and should not be filled with water. Fortunatly I found a 40 gallon breeder for 50 bucks nearby. I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of a fully grown axolotl in a 40 breeder because if i'm going to go to the trouble of buying a brand new tank I might as well get the largest tank possible, within reason as I live in a second story apartment. Just want to make sure a 40 breeder would comfortably fit one axolotl for life.

Yes, a 40-breeder will be more than ample for one axolotl for life. I have two tanks that size, but they aren't axie tanks. Their "floor space" dimensions are 36" x 18", which is excellent. With good filtration, you could easily house 3 or 4 adults in a tank that size.
