35 of our hatch from 8 weeks ago are still alive and eating us out of bloodworms. A newly installed airstone in one tank has become a favourite past time - they actually seem to queue up for rides on the 'bubble fountain'! It shoots them up to the surface and they swim right back for another go.

Can you see the different sizes of these two? Same age.

Oh how sweet...
I long to have a little dinky axie again - I miss Ari...

Spykk's suddenly turned into a hulking great MONSTER lol!

wow haven't you done well!!! they look very happy and healthy. sadly our first attempt ended badly! I think you are very clever!
We have more eggs in the tank- not going to raise them and feeling bad seeing them forming into wee babes...

I feel like I've put in enough learning to gain a diploma in raising these babies! Never imagined it would be so time consuming. But utterly engrossing.... Kind of wish we could keep all 32 of them! Maybe we could build a new room on the house????

Beautiful! I just ordered my first 2. Supposed to be 1-3in. I hope they are this cute and healthy!

Sometimes I wish they made very tiny axolotls so I could have a whole school of axolotls. Great pictures of tiny monsters!

Grats on raising them, I am sure it is very time consuming as you said. When I get a bigger place maybe I might try too, always wanted to.

What is the best food you feed the little ones?

seriously take more pics and submit to cuteoeverload.com cus baby axolotls are too cute to control.

Everyone is in love!

Just checking the forum after being away for 2 weeks and opened up this thread only to find it was an old one of mine! Can't believe the size of those wee babies - they are now 15 weeks old and I've attached an updated photo of a leucistic. My 'axie-sitter' while I was away was fantastic and all axies have grown into monsters.

To answer your question Ann Marie, I feed the juveniles mainly bloodworms (frozen from pet shop). They also get small pieces of inexpensive steak, small worms and pieces of liver. They seem to be doing very well! And they are hand fed, but if they get any bigger I fear I'll lose a finger.

If you think 32 is time consuming, try raising 350! I did last year. But for several months I had almost no social life because I spend most of the time in my axolotl room.
