I don't have an axis yet, I'm in process of research currently!

:) thank you!

If you type in cycling into the search bar at the top it will come up with all the answers you need.

Enjoy xD

There are many other articles at Caudata Culture that are extremely helpfull, if i were you i would read them all (well, i have xD).
Let me congratulate you for doing your research before acquiring an axolotl, the more you read, the better you´ll be prepared!!!

Have you ever set up a new fish tank and immediately add fish, only to have them die within days? Cycling is preparing your new tank to be able to support fish or as you are asking, axolotls. Try these sites to learn more. Despite the first two being fish related, the cycling process is the same. Please keep researching! It seems like a long process, but it is worth it rather than risk death for your new pet by taking shortcuts. One more thing, buy a good dechlorinator and a test kit that measures pH, nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia levels - a good kit will be invaluable to you.
