Hi, I have 1 x250 liter tank and 1x 300 liter tank. each has its own filter but i was wondering was has anyone tried to feed 2 filters through one chiller. this is the filter i have

Resun CL-650 Aquarium Chiller 1/4HP(Unistar 650) [CL-650] - $559.9 : Aqua Wholesale, Pumps, Filters, Chillers & Other aquarium Supplies .

What I was thinking was using 2 Y connections so both filters feed into and out of the chiller (and having extra long tubing lol). Has anyone tried this? if so did it work? or was it a complete disaster? I'm thinking there may possible be a reduction of the water filtration (being slowed down because of 2 feeds into chiller)...Im just tight at the moment and would prefer not to have to pay $500 for a second chiller if possible. I hope i explained it clearly. thanks:bowl:

The easiest way to find out is to do it and see if it works. Worst case scenario is the chiller doesn't quite keep both tanks cool, but you're in Aus (like me) so I imagine it's only a few degrees too high anyway
