Well, I recently bought my juvenile Chinese fire belly newt about a month ago, but I'm worried he might feel a bit lonely being by himself... I'm thinking about bringing home another one, around the same age and size. So, would a 37 litre tank be big enough for 2 newts?

And what would be an appropriate feeding time?

Cheers
Zac

P.S. Sludge Monkey, thanks for changing the name mate ;)

A 10 gallon is suitable for a pair as long as you are using all the volume for water.
As for apropriate feeding times, whenever you feel like it is ok...they don´t really care, although they tend to be slightly more active during the night.

I would like to recommend that you try to find captive bred Cynops orientalis, instead of buying another one from the pet-shop. Pet-shop newts are ALL wild-caught, and as a result of the importation from China, and the negligent care at the shops, they are very stressed, and many develop illnesses or starve.
By acquiring captive-bred animals you are getting quality, healthy, captivity acostumed newts, with the adittional plus of knowing that you are not promoting mass collection.
