Tues - 11:30am - my 6 juveniles and army of eggs where most had hatched by the time of arrival were delivered.
Wed evening - thought I'd just try to see if axies wanted bbs. They didn't eat them.
Thurs nowish - my bbs from previous batch died, and the new batch haven't hatched yet (was started yesterday around this time). I offered egg yolk in case they were hungry, and even some blood worm "soup" but they didn't eat anything.

Am I being paranoid? They're supposed to be living off egg sac for 24-72h, but I'm not sure at what point in shipping that they hatched. Should they be fine until tomorrow when the bbs should be ready?

Either tomorrow or monday my daphnia eggs should arrive, and hopefully next week my de-shelled bbs eggs should arrive :) I'm really hoping I can get a daphnia culture going so I don't have to worry as much about dirtied water!

I had the same thing, they should be fine mine hatched between Monday night and Tuesday night they didn't start eating til Friday night. If you take a alght you can see the sac on the bellies and that should help give you a better idea. :)

Did you have any casualties between then? Some of the new bbs hatched but I tried those and they won't eat still!

I did not have any casualties. I have been paranoid so I actually put a flashlight right behind them so the bbs go to him. I would keep trying every day. It was 4 days for mine to eat.

Haha, that's exactly what I did yesterday! One bumped into a hatchling's mouth but it just sat there un-noticing! Today will be day 4 so my little munchkins better eat!!

Lol, thats what mine did too its frustrating. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! :) Let me know if they eat! :)

Well, one of them ate 2... it took a while of being beaten in the face by a shrimp though! The others are the same as yeterday! Little buggers lol. I don't have a high concentration born yet, so perhaps they need to be overwhelmed with some in order to feel hungry...

Yeah, they still do that to mine! Haha, I actually have all of mine in their own containers since pretty much day one. It just becomes time consuming to feed them one or two at a time especially when there is nine of them! :) I love this forum, it seems more friendly then the others haha.

Right now I have 54 newborns.... they're all together at the moment but I think I'm going to buy some dessert tofu, eat them and then use those containers (2 for 0.65 if I get the discounted ones! lol). That way I can make sure everyone gets a fair share and no accidental nibbling! My table will be absolutely covered by containers though >_>

Oh boy, 54??! What are you going to do with then?? Haha. And yes it will be container galore, but they are so worth it! :)

Love them dearly! haha! I live in Winnipeg, MB and NO ONE has them here. When I got myself some juvies I was offered some eggs too, and I thought I'd take some so I could sell them and hopefully bring axies to Winnipeg as I know there are several others like me looking for some :3 (Plus they're awesome pets... WAYYY cooler than fish! xD) I'm going to have such a hard time letting them go though... they're so cute.......

Yayyy!! Babies have started eating :3 Not all, put at least half! I am happy :D

YAY! See, nothing to worry about! The rest will come, and they will all enjoy eating. Just make sure to keep your containers a decent size so they can grow! After a week we can see little arm stubbys!! :) I hopeto keep hearing updates since ours are only a week apart! :)
