Hey everyone, my name's Krystyna.
I recently got into this whole axolotl hobby after I came across one in one of my local pet stores and I found it so interesting to watch. It looked like nothing I've ever seen before and before I knew it I was researching the next 5 days straight hoping to learn everything I can about axolotls before committing to caring for one. My first axolotl's name is Noodle. She was around 6 inches when I got her and she's a golden albino. I wasn't exactly looking for one like her, I originally wanted a leucistic but she has a forked gill and was the last one in the tank and I thought it gave her character and she deserved a nice home.
I eventually decided to get two juvie leucistics from Margie on here. And they are just precious. I love being able to tell them apart just by their mere personalities.
This then led to me buying babies - 5 weeks old. Two leucistics and two wildtype.
Eventually to some eggs to raise.
Before axolotls I was absolutely in love with fish and aquascaping. After axolotls, I have just completely changed interests although I still enjoy to aquascape. My axies don't seem to destroy too many of the plants.
Hmm. More about me.. I'm 18 years old. Planning to study nursing in the Fall. And hopefully my boyfriend and I will have enough room for all my tanks.
We'll make room.
