Looks like a leucistic mavortium !?

How lucky you are to have one,

in 10 years and 5 breedings ( 5 x 100 larvae) I nevet got one...(or albino)

can't wait for its metamorphosis !...

I remember John telling me how pleased he was to have given that one away ;)

Better picture and idea of what it looks like next to a sibling.

That is why you don't sell your eggs.....lol.

They were offered and given to me. John still has access to this individual if he needs. It'll be great if we all could have one of these one day.

More pics. Fully grown now.

I'm interested if it could breed. You should look for neotenic tigers (As impossible as that may be) and try to breed it

Usually the extraction of a neotenic individual leads to morphing. Same goes for other neotenic salamanders like plethodontids.

Neotenic individuals do breed with non neotenic partners. Especially in Barred Tiger Salamanders it's been documented. If I ever do get eggs I'll let you know!

Forgive me for commenting on a thread that hasn't had activity for four-five months, but do you have any updates? This individual is gorgeous!!! :D

Yeah! I would love to hear as well :D

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. I also asked this as an actual question in a thread in case anyone wants to answer it there instead of here
