I'm new here to Cuadata!
My name is Kelly and I live on the Northshore of Louisiana.
I am very fond of chinese firebelly newts. I've owned a small number of them (about 6) but have sadly lost them partly due to my own inexperience and also to poor previous living conditions. (Nothing makes me sadder than seeing hungry, little firebellies in tupperware at WalMart! It is a shame. )
Just the other day, I went to my usual tattoo parlor to get a tattoo in loving memory of my past newts. They have meant that much to me! ( I attached a picture for those interested. We did sacrifice a bit of realistic detail to create a more appealing design, the orange on the face saved a lot of contrast issues. Also, big blue eyes and a smile, who could resist?)
It was purely coincidence that the next day, my younger sister called me asking if I'd like another newt. Of course, I couldn't resist!
Anyways, I've decided not give up on my love for newts. I've joined you all here to look for help as I learn more about newts. I wouldn't mind a few new friends, either. I will hopefully be posting around here to share my success with my latest newt addition, a juvenile chinese firebelly named Pugsley! I'm always looking to learn more about how to give him (or her) simply the best care.
It's a fresh start and I want to be a wonderful newt mommy.
