The tank looks great Beata. You have a lot of axis. I'm going to buy another axie when i move in to my house. It's getting built and will be done by the end of the month.

Your axies all look really healthy. Good on you mate :D

Hey there, gorgeous tank!

just wondering with the fish in there, they look like platies and/or swordtails
My mum has these fish in her tropical tank....arent they tropicals you've got there?
Just wondering :)

You might have to be careful with fish in axie tanks as they tend to nip at axies bodyparts and cause stress.

Hi Beata cool set up and beautiful axies

Hi- thank you for all
:)
Half year ago I let into tank( after the quarantine )40 young Xiphophorus halleri(swordtails).I bought fish from the breeder. They was axis's food. The part of fish was eating and the rest grew and they have very well.
Now- My axis are breeding fish for itself :)
.Fish are being coloured out, they are propagating .Fish isn't ill, they aren't hurting axi.
I am observing entire this arrangement.I am drawing a conclusion

I think that such a connection is possible. After meeting a few conditions..I don't know English :(
I am not able to describe my observation in English.I sorry

In the axi's tank is a fixed temp 18.5 C .
At a wordtails berader the temperature of water was 20 steps.
I did the two-week quarantine for fish.
Fish is gentle.They aren't pinching axi's gills.
The tank is big and "mature".Water has permanent parameters : Ph-7,8 GH-16 KH-12 NO2-0 No3-40mg/l NH3-0
I am also breeding fish from the lake Tanganika.
I have a little knowledge and experience.
Therefore I think that my observation can be valuable
I cann't to describe it in English.I'm very sad sad sad sad sad sad
I love my axi and all axis.I love animals.
Even if fish is supposed to be food for axis,They must also have comfort of the life., to what extent it is possible.
Pa-Beata

The tank looks wonderful, and the axolotl look very well too...

1.5 year ago I bought the very sick axi.
He has paralysed hind legs and the tail.
He lived together with 5 axis .
3 month ago the wild axi bit the hand off for him.One around two efficient.
Now the sick axi cannot swim.
He is very much accustomed and darling .I did for him such house.

I have never seen so many axies in one tank. Is it ok to keep that many in one tank?

I bet *ALL* your axies love the set-up! How many axies do you have in total? And I loved how you devoted such time to your sick axie! What's his/her name?

=)

As long as the tank's big enough I presume!

I was thinking of getting a lovely olive-coloured axie, which would've been my third, but I decided against it as the tank is 120 litres. I was looking at the tank and thinking, hmmm, maybe I could squeeze a third one in there, but then I got a ferret and that solved that predicament!

=)

It is very clear how fond you are of your axoltl, I like the floating hospital a lot. I hope he recovers well.

http://www.caudata.org/forum/messages/793/70680.html?1161095990 in olf forum-please look-my thread.
I brought 68 animals up. From them I returned the part to adoption. From them I sold the part. It stayed a bit longer for me 16 young (natural-born 1.10.2006)
Aquarium has the surface of the bottom 180/60 cm. 40 cm of the height.
Small axies were in 3 tanks, on the porch where was cold. But now is summer. I had to transfer them into the big tank with the refrigerator.
I separated the big tank with the pane to 2 parts.( 100/60 and 80/60 cm)
In the 100/60 part are my adult axies-6.
In this part are plants, tunnels, a root,.fishes to the food-for axis.
In part 80/60 are 16 young axis-in this part is only tunnel and swimming cabbage and strong filter of water.
In tank is circulation cold water and outside filtration. Is 400 L water.
If I won't sell or I won't return animals (adoption)to september I will take the pane out and all will already probably be sailing togewer. All axies will stay at me.

Sick axie name is MUNiA(she)
Today I put Munia in tank-Munia swimming-Hurra :)
1 foto-part for adult
2 foto part for young
3foto-Munia today :)swimming

I sorry -my English-

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
