What a great action shot. He's cute. Just to give you a head's-up, though, you may need to remove some of the rocks in the near future. There are a lot of threads that come up from time to time about axolotls managing to ingest stones that were as big as their heads, impossible though it may seem. I don't know how they do it.
yea it surprises me on occasion when i put slightly thawed bloodworms in (cubed) and he will manage to take it out in one bite! then i started cutting it into smaller cubes ;p that side of the tank mostly has the huge rocks on while the other has sand and red river rock with acouple small fake plants. i figured it would be a great terrain for him to conquer while a good houd out for the feeders.
haha i actually YouTubed axolotls (which is pretty fun) and saw that some were hand feeding their axies, who seemed very calm yet playful with the hand. Trogdor was alil timid at first but likes to follow my hand alot now ;p
