Is that a sulcata? Are you aware of the nature of these? How big they get, their burrowing tendancies?

What are you going to do when it's 100 lbs and burrowing through your walls? Are you equipped to handle a tortoise of thise magnitude?

It's people like me who end up taking animals from people who get them and don't know how to care for them. Animals that people get without knowing their requirements for food, heat, housing. Animals that get too large for their keepers, especially sulcata tortoises and burmese pythons. Yeah, it's cute when it's this big, but when it gets to be 100 lbs and is knocking giant holes in your walls, it's not so cute.

Ya i have all the equipment to house my turtle for now she sleeps on one side of my bead but wen she gets bigger she will have her own stabile like thing in out side for she sleep in. And in winter ill bild her one in side my house.

Hello. I just noticed two notches, white small bubbles on the hind legs of one of my male newts.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
